Last weekend was our annual Pumpkin Carving Party.
This year people asked if it could be a costume party as well.
As per usual we had a graveyard.
I made some last minute adjustments before the sun went down.
This guy scared a lot of people.
As did this guy.
The cooks made chili.
People carved.
People ate.
People carved some more.
This one was mine.
It was by far our biggest turnout ever.

All the more pressure for next year.
Esto es increible!!!!!! ya me gustaria a mi asistir a una de estas fiestas tuyas!! Como estan los perros??? espero que todo bien, saludos!!!
Jorge,
Glad to see your supporting the pumpkin economy in Hawaii or wherever!!!!
Wow, your party seems like so much fun! BTW, you’re a very talented pumpkin carver, Jorge! I hope you, Beth and the pups have a very Happy Halloween!
Hey Jorge, awesome job on the pumpkins as usual. I’m wanting to try my hand and some more complex carving (other than the good ole tirangle eyes & nose style). Do you have any suggestions? Or links to a site for beginners?
Wow, this looks like it was a heck of a lot of fun. I’m inspired. It was clearly a lot of work, so I should probably start small. Your pumpkin design is really cool. Nice job. Thank you for sharing, Jorge.
Wow very cool!!! Loved your pumpkin.
Aloha Jorge! So long time not entered in your blog! And accidentally I observe what you posted about HAlloween! I always liked your partys! You have the best Halloween PArty’s in the world! Hope that once I could come to this party…and we will see who is the best master of carving!))) HAppy Halloween to you -guys!
Greetings from Moldova!
Looks like a great party.
I’m intrigued with the “creature” in the background in the second photo. It looks like something Pip and Smidge wouldn’t care for.
I’m going to dye an old sheet a fugley color of black and dark green, gluing corn, assorted lettuce, and other veggies on it and making a halo out of aluminum foil and going as a holy shit.
GOOD TIMES!!!!!
WOW!!! So cool. Looks like a really great time. Thanks so much for sharing.
It would be fun if you had an extended pumpkin carving party next year, with multiple parties throughout the country. This could be the beginning of something big! Jorge’s Pumpkin Bash!
Love the binder full of women costume! Looks like lots of fun was had. Happy Halloween!
It looks like a fun time was had by all! I hope that you saved the seeds to roast–you’d have a year’s worth, easy.
I saw the group picture on Beth’s page, and have been waiting for the blog post with more pics. You have some very talented friends!
What a huge place you have! Looks like a lot of fun. I aspire to be invited to your carving party one day despite the fact that I live on the wrong coast.
Looks like so much fun! Makes me wish I knew you.
How fun! good for you, having a party. I’m always scared to have more than 6 people over at once, even though we just moved into a much bigger house. Halloween is the best.
Reminds me of the long-ago days when my housemates and I used to throw some wild halloween parties. Every year a few folks would show up dressed up as police officers and boss us around.
I like the whole ‘what image do you see?’ aspect of your pumpkin… I saw a fat gogo dancer before seeing the face.
Nice job with the carving. Looks great.
