Nunu from 2006

7 Jun

I found this old video compilation I made of Nunu when she was a puppy. Enjoy.

But before you do, I have my first official gripe about WordPress. It does not allow me to upload videos directly onto my blog. The only media it seems to accept are pictures and gifs. So now I have to go to youtube first to put the video up, and THEN post it to my blog.

Ok rant over. Now. Enjoy.

Nunu was a little pup with the heart of a lion! Loved watching her antics!

Completely agree. What a good girl.

What a cute little nut! It has to make you smile to watch her “fighting” with your foot and the cat. You gave her just as much happiness as she gave you. Thanks for sharing!

  6. ChiTown Girl June 7, 2010 at 2:34 pm #

Aw…so cute. It made me laugh out loud to see that Nunu was smaller than the cat! πŸ˜›

    Hi Jorge,

I’m so sorry about Nunu. I lost my dog in January after spending 17 years with her, I loved her sooo much… I imagine how you should feel now. I’m really sorry, I hope you can give that love you feel for Nunu to a new dog. Kisses

  8. Drew Linne June 7, 2010 at 2:36 pm #

yeah, I don’t like that about wordpress either. But overall, I think it’s better than blogspot.

  9. Steve June 7, 2010 at 2:45 pm #

    Sweet Video.

I have been able to load video straight into WordPress, but I have my own space. That may be the issue, or it may be the file format you have the video in.

Happy to help if you’d like.

  10. Lisa June 7, 2010 at 2:45 pm #

Love the video. yeah, I have to say that I like the blogger better than the word press. No ads and you can add videos and such easily.

  11. Angie Pinkal June 7, 2010 at 2:46 pm #

I totally agree, WordPress can be a pain. I’ve used it in the past and got frustrated.

Anyway….The video, awesome, Jorge! I can tell how much you loved Nunu! My 5 year old daughter giggled the whole time when we watched the video. Thank you for showing us those special moments.

    Hugs!
    Angie

    Jorge,

Thanks for sharing the video. It was nice to see more videos of NuNu and really gives the “pink” bedding a whole new perspective vs the pictures-haha. The interactions between your cat and NuNu were great.

I’m sad that I had to discover your previous blog after hearing the sad news about NuNu. I’m happy that I got a chance to go through all the blog postings and looking forward to following “Further Dispatches”. You’re an awesome celebrity and thanks for sharing/blogging as well as being so down-to-earth. Good luck with the future “When we were Pirates” film and hope things get back to a sense of normalcy.

  13. kelly June 7, 2010 at 2:54 pm #

Adorable. I’m so sorry for your loss…I have dogs and horses and petbabies galore, and I know that pain. Your girl was awfully happy.

  14. Margie June 7, 2010 at 2:55 pm #

Well Jorge, at least you know how to upload things to YouTube. I don’t even know how to do that. I know, I know, I should get with the program. That was a cute little video of Nunu. I wish I had videos of my late pets to watch. I must say, I didn’t realize female dogs humped things like the male dogs do. I learned something new today!

  15. nofactzone June 7, 2010 at 2:56 pm #

You should be able to upload video directly – go to the Upload/Insert toolbar on the Post Edit screen, and you should have the option of uploading video straight to the site. You can also upload photos and audio from that toolbar, and it gives you the options to add the title and other information to the media for SEO purposes when you upload.

(I’m a bit of a WordPress blogging nerd.)

I look forward to hearing if you can get it to work. Let us know!

  16. Moonchime June 7, 2010 at 2:56 pm #

    Too, too sweet and cute!!!!!

  17. Margie June 7, 2010 at 2:57 pm #

I forgot to mention that I loved the music. It was very 60’s or early 70’s.

  18. Dylan June 7, 2010 at 3:09 pm #

I haven’t looked for a plugin myself, but I think you’ll find that almost any WordPress need you have has been thought of by someone else. I’d be surprised if someone hasn’t created a plugin for just this need.

  19. jmgasper June 7, 2010 at 3:12 pm #

Fun video, especially the part with the cat. Looks like direct video uploads are a “paid feature”: http://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/

  20. csc June 7, 2010 at 3:13 pm #

That was a sweet video of Nunu. Thanks for sharing. I hope you and Beth are doing well. I’m glad you will continue to keep a blog. You are awesome.

    Peace and
    Love,
    C

  21. James June 7, 2010 at 3:14 pm #

Nothing quite so fine as a little pup gnawing on your big toe! Quite the spice of character she added to your home. Will you be getting another dog then, or are those days done?

Also, glad you’ve decided to keep blogging.

    Take care

  22. Julio Guerra June 7, 2010 at 3:14 pm #

I think that the funny theme of Hurley in LOST could have been a good choice too πŸ™‚

  23. Ann June 7, 2010 at 3:18 pm #

Haha!! Nunu humping her bed. Our dog does that too. What’s with that? So cute the way she and the cat played so well together.

  24. angiecpinkal June 7, 2010 at 3:38 pm #

    Jorge,
I have a great program that I use to recolor photos. I took a few of some that were on the other blog site of Nunu and recolored them for you. I hope you enjoy them. You can find them here….

    Pics for Jorge

    Hugs and warm wishes,

Jorge, this is so sad.. I was used to see Nunu with you in your dispatches, in your video, I recognized her in “everybody loves Hugo”, I was a fan of her, too. It’s been a shock this new..
Maybe you don’t remember, but we kept missing last summer in Hawaii.. Thank you for your kind letter, I really think that you’re special

    Manuela

  26. How much does Nunu remind me of our Monty? So much so much— Monty is in the throes of cat bouncing with our boy Tatum, (big black cat, gorgeous, and will not take fur boy’s guff). He also has a tendency to piddle about 5 inches away from our puppy-pads. Oh the joy. If you ever need a fix of reliving life with Nunu- I think Monty would love to have you play with him…. (You may hear my hubby jokingly say, “He’s a great dog, you want him?”) You are welcome any time, and no you can’t havem.

  27. mk June 7, 2010 at 3:57 pm #

    Dear Jorge,

Love the video. I burst out with tears when I heard of Nunu’s passing. Keeping you and Beth in my thoughts and prayers. Hoping that your hearts aren’t so heavy soon.

    Hugs to y’all.

  28. Irma June 7, 2010 at 4:03 pm #

What a sweet, funny baby she was. Thanks for sharing.

  29. Colleen June 7, 2010 at 4:06 pm #

You can upload video to WordPress, but it’s a pain in the butt. I’ve done it when YouTube’s being a stickler for copyright. I can show you how if you want; just text Jay to let me know πŸ™‚

  30. thedailyclick June 7, 2010 at 4:19 pm #

    CUTE!! Thanks for sharing πŸ™‚

Look on the bright side…. at least those videos won’t use up any of your 3GB space if you can’t upload directly to WP

  31. Sandy June 7, 2010 at 4:21 pm #

Adorable! You gave her a great life. I lost a dog around the same age that you lost Nunu and I know how difficult that is. Thinking of you!

  32. hoku3128 June 7, 2010 at 4:24 pm #

    Jorge,
We are kindred spirits this week, as my horse Sassy was found shot in my pasture at Gunstock Ranch in Laie this morning. I have been crying my eyes out all day. She was my baby and loved by all on the north shore.

I watched this video and it made me smile and even laugh, something I sorely needed! Hugs and Aloha to you and Beth…
    Hoku

  33. Holly June 7, 2010 at 4:24 pm #

Super cute!! I’m so sorry to hear about Nunu.

WordPress has a way to upload videos directly, but it’s a paid add-on, like having your own domain point to your WP blog.

  34. Tim Vaida June 7, 2010 at 4:25 pm #

Funny stuff. OMG on the pink thing. Dogs are the greatest. Hope things are going well in CA.

    Where is your cat?

  38. Amanda June 7, 2010 at 4:42 pm #

Thanks for posting…my heart still breaks for you, having lost treasured pets myself. Nunu was absolutely adorable, and I’m glad you have photos and videos to remember her by.

  39. beccalavelle June 7, 2010 at 4:43 pm #

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a similar loss with my pet, and I made a tribute video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GcLxB0THdo

Three years later we finally got some new kittens. We named one Duckie 2 (or D2) after our cat that died. It seems to be a fitting tribute.

    The new kitten: http://www.flickr.com/photos/33890742@N05/4676987280/

    It gets easier through time.

give posterous a shot — all you have to do is e-mail photos or videos and it will take care of the rest.

  44. Heather June 7, 2010 at 5:10 pm #

Love the video! My 5 1/2 year old daughter was laughing. I had to come up with an explanation as to what Nunu was doing to the Pink Thing. πŸ™‚

I blog on both platforms. WP takes a bit to get used to, but you’ll like it.

Thanks for keeping up with the blogging though. I just recently found your old one & read it all (yes ALL) in about 1 day. Here’s to new adventures.

I’ll give my dog an extra treat for Nunu tonight.

  45. CathyAJ June 7, 2010 at 5:10 pm #

What a sweet, precious girl. I’ve loved and lost special pets, too, so I know how much you miss her. You guys are in my prayers.

The many smiles she gave and continues to give – that’s NuNu! πŸ™‚
Thank you for sharing such a sweet, fun video Jorge.
    Many Hugs…((H))

  47. Tom June 7, 2010 at 5:21 pm #

    That is adorable!
Just out of curiosity: what breed was Nunu?

  48. Melody June 7, 2010 at 5:27 pm #

I love it! Great work on the video. It’s great that she is still bringing smiles to so many faces.

  49. pamelalovescharlie June 7, 2010 at 5:29 pm #

Jorge…that is so cute…Nunu was an adorable puppy!!! I wish I knew how to make videos…I think it’s awesome that you have this. In your video…Nunu could be my Charlie…same huge ears and coloring but Nunu got more tan on her face when she got older. Charlie looks and acts exactly like her, especially wrestling with the cat πŸ™‚ and the inside-out ear, I’m always fixing it πŸ™‚ We have 3 cats (all bigger than Charlie) and he annoys the crap out of them until they tackle him. Of all the dogs I have had, he is my favorite and only Chihuahua, he’s half Jack Russell and such a clown. You and Beth were so sweet with Nunu that I hope that in time you will get another puppy to fill the empty space that Nunu left behind…it could never replace her….but will still bring you happiness and love and there are so many dogs that need loving homes. If anything ever happens to Charlie, I know that I would want to get another Chihuahua baby….they are the BEST dogs!!!

  50. Damon June 7, 2010 at 5:49 pm #

Good video bud. But, ya had a rather messy place.

  51. KathyinMN June 7, 2010 at 5:53 pm #

Very adorable. When he was tiny, his ears were bigger than the rest of him! My dog humps her bed every.single.night. Reminds me I should get video of it and add it to her video files. Your compilation is awesome.

Lovely. Very entertaining. Great soundtrack too.

  53. Annette June 7, 2010 at 6:02 pm #

I’m not sure which is more hilarious…Nunu humping the pink blankie, or Kitty v. Nunu Wrassle Fest 2K6. Thanks for sharing, Jorge.

  54. Randi June 7, 2010 at 6:02 pm #

HAHA! I could watch a dog and cat play all day long. Doesn’t happen much at my house any more as they are all seniors now…but they still try.

  55. kraftypixie June 7, 2010 at 6:10 pm #

Thanks for that video. It’s a cool tribute to such a sweet little dog. I always loved the Nunu bits on your old blog, especially the one about the things she loved to chew as the days of Christmas. I have always had a secret love of little dogs til I got my own yorkie-chi. People ask me, “So you have a yappy lttle dog?” & I proudly say, “Hell, yeah!”

  56. Brian June 7, 2010 at 6:12 pm #

    Hey Jorge…

I’m sorry to hear about your dog…but at least you have some great videos to remember her.

Try looking for the FV WordPress Flowplayer plugin in WordPress. I think that might help get around uploading videos to YouTube.

  57. Nicole June 7, 2010 at 6:13 pm #

Thank you for sharing! That was so cute πŸ™‚ Looked like she liked that pink thing as more than a friend πŸ˜‰

  58. Lisa June 7, 2010 at 6:13 pm #

Just loved watching this video. Brought tears to my eyes and laughter to my heart as I remembered my “gone but not forgotten” pomeranian, Taz. You can tell that Nunu had plenty of love and excitement from this life because of Beth and you. My love and sympathies.

  59. chris June 7, 2010 at 6:21 pm #

you CAN upload video to wordpress, there’s just a media package that you need to purchase through them.here’s the link to the page on wordpress.com or you can just search video press. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/

Adorable memories! Love the cat wrestling!

Being a quilter, I like how wordpress has quilt blocks for avatars until you put your picture in.

  61. Pam June 7, 2010 at 6:37 pm #

Absolutely adorable video. It is so great that you will have these videos as keepsakes. I love Nunu and the cat playing together.
Hoping your transition time is going as well as it can.

    Jorge,

So sorry to hear about Nunu. I lost my dog back in February and I still dream about him. Pet bring so much joy into our lives and I never realize how much until he was no longer with me. Hold on to the memories and love and don’t let people pressure you into getting another dog too soon. You have to come to that point in your own time.
    Julie

  65. Angela June 7, 2010 at 7:14 pm #

What a cutie!! Haha, when she stopped just long enough to pee, classic. It’s wonderful how animals have such an effect on our lives.

    Great video Jorge. Adorable!

  69. derekbrink June 7, 2010 at 8:08 pm #

    1. That is a WONDERFUL video. I’ve been thinking about your loss, and I’ve got all the sympathy and empathy in the world. People want to tell you it’s “just a dog.” But no dog is “just a dog.” I miss all three of the little pups that’ve left my life over the years, even ones that weren’t MINE. Hope you can move on soon…but please know that you’re not alone in missing your dog.

    2. I don’t seem to have problems uploading directly from my computer to WordPress…and I use the free version, as well. No extra widgets paid for or anything. It’s possible that just your particular template won’t allow it. They don’t always have the same features enabled on every theme…but it is possible…should have a “from your computer” option when you click on “add video” (or whatever the cooresponding synonyms are).

    • derekbrink June 7, 2010 at 8:09 pm #

I left out the word “and” somewhere in my post. As a free bonus game, it’s up to YOU to decide where it goes! Have fun!

  70. Koshka June 7, 2010 at 8:09 pm #

Aw, she was the cutest puppy ever. So glad you have these videos to share her with us!

  71. Amy June 7, 2010 at 8:30 pm #

What a sweet video! Thanks for sharing it.

WordPress is the same with photos, if you don’t want to use up all the space it provides. At least that is what I found, but I’m not the most tech savy. For the faults, I think the layout is more clean than others.

  72. Jennifer June 7, 2010 at 8:36 pm #

Awesome memories – Nunu really had a thing for the cat, your foot and that pink bed thingy. May the act of sharing her joy in that vid help heal your aching hearts.

  73. Christa Levesque June 7, 2010 at 8:36 pm #

So adorable πŸ™‚ R.I.P. Nunu we love you and I’m sure she’s happily chewing things and humping a “pink thing” in the sky

OMG, she was so adorable! Although I don’t really know you and her, further more I live thousands of miles away, I loved her very very much. I have a bunny, she is a lot bigger than she was, like a big fat cat. πŸ™‚ She’s my Nunu(her name is Dudi btw, not Dude, but Dudi)

Thank you for sharing this, and thank you for being such an obviously awesome daddy to Nunu. As someone with four dogs (and having lost my little pup Lily recently) I can’t tell you how sorry I am for your loss, but I really hope sharing these little parts of her with us helps you to feel the joy of her life more than the pain of her loss. Nunu forever!

  79. Anne June 7, 2010 at 10:40 pm #

That was so cute! I’m glad that you filmed all that so you can take comfort in watching her happy life now. I know how hard it is to lose a dog, I’ll be praying for peace for you!

  88. Heather June 8, 2010 at 1:37 am #

Hi Jorge, thanks for sharing that video. It made me smile and laugh at Nunu’s antics! She certainly was a little ball of energy as a puppy! The music is perfect. You have many memories to cherish. Loved seeing her and the cat! I used to have a black cat, he was my baby. I hope that you are doing ok and are getting settled into your new place. It’s been a lot of changes all at once for you and Beth. I saw the photo on her blog of where you lived in Hawaii. It must have been amazing to live right on the beach like that. I’ve only been to Hawaii twice in my life, but I miss it every day! I tried to comment but I think Blogger doesn’t allow visitor comments. Sure do miss seeing you every Tuesday night, but I’m very happy to see you here!

  89. Debbie M. June 8, 2010 at 1:52 am #

    Jorge,

I am sorry for you loss. When I read about what happened I was so sad for you. I’ve been there myself when my cat passed away. I found that keeping their memory alive like you are with NuNu’s cute video is helpful. They are forever a part our lives. Take some comfort in the fact that you gave her a wonderful life.

    -Debbie

I’m so sorry about Nunu – from all the pictures / videos you’ve shared with us on your former blog I know that she was a great dog! I can’t even imagine being without my dog, it must be horrible. I bet she had a great life! Now she watches this funny video together with us from above.

What a darling little dog she was! I know you must miss her terribly and am sure she is still with you in spirit, peeing on your carpet.

The great thing about wordpress is that there are plugins for everything, even for posting videos direct to your wordpress blog.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/video/

Maybe a plugin like that one will make it easier?

Good heavens! What a hilarious dog!!! I especially liked the scenes with the black cat (why haven’t you featured the cat?!) and Nunu humping the pink…. ummm… bed… so friggin funny! What a great memorial to a fantastic dog. I don’t know what I would do if my dogs chewed on my toes, btw… lol

  94. Ron Shady June 8, 2010 at 4:04 am #

Looks like your foot was her favorite chew toy. She was one of a kind and I feel fortunate to have met and played with her.

  97. Jennifer Major June 8, 2010 at 5:27 am #

Quite the relationship with the pink blanket! Thankyou for sharing this, it was very funny and touching and sad.

  98. Steve June 8, 2010 at 5:28 am #

    Jorge,

Nunu was a beautiful pup, and it saddens me that she’s gone. I don’t mean to make this an advertisement, but I work for Vimeo.com, and we’d love to have you host your videos there. The community would love to have you, and you definitely won’t receive any negative comments, like you might on YouTube.

Thanks for your time, and thanks for a great blog, a great show, and a good heart. You rock, dude.

  99. mrcelofan June 8, 2010 at 6:08 am #

  100. Jessica June 8, 2010 at 6:09 am #

That was ADORABLE! She was fearless!!!!!!!! “I ain’t fraid of no cat!!!!!” Best Part for me….how she JUUUUST missed the wee wee pad! Our Chihuahua was NOTORIOUS for that! Did she also bury herself in the laundry after it just came out of the dryer????

Thanks so much for sharing that!!! Put a huge smile on my face!

  101. Snowbird June 8, 2010 at 6:27 am #

What a great video. My goodness, her ears were almost bigger than her body. LOL. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

If you’re griping about WordPress, you might want to take a look at the Posterous (posterous.com/faq) model before you get too vested in this one. They are very focused on letting you get media up quickly and easily – I make use of the post by eMail for mine. I quote from their FAQ
“You can attach any type of file and we’ll post it along with the text of your email.
We’ll do smarter things for photos, audio files and links, documents and video (both links AND files). Here’s just a sample of what we support.”

    Of course, your choice…

    Stay JOLLY!

What a sweet, beautiful, SPUNKY video of her. She will be missed so much. (I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.)

  116. Cindy June 8, 2010 at 9:25 am #

Thanks for posting the video of Nunu. She was one of the main reasons I loved checking out your blog.(Of course I will still keep up on it however!) I loved the daily pictures of things she liked to chew at Christmas. I have five little dogs myself (3 poms, a min pin, and a jack russel) and it absolutely broke my heart when I read that Nunu was gone. Nunu’s posts were always entertaining and I cheered when she showed up in one of the episodes of Lost! I will keep you and Beth in my thoughts with the loss you have had.

  117. Pat June 8, 2010 at 9:29 am #

    Hi Jorge,

I am deeply saddened at the loss of Nunu. Thanks for the video. I also have a blog on WordPress. You can pay for video uploading. Go to your dasboard and click on upgrades. http://whataboutmichaelemerson.wordpress.com What About ME? is my blog.

  118. jon June 8, 2010 at 9:30 am #

I’m so, so sorry for your loss. Nunu looked like an amazing little pup.

Regarding your rant, you should really look into a Tumblr blog instead of WordPress. Tumblr is SO EASY and would allow you a quick upload/embed of a video, no questions asked.

  119. Jade June 8, 2010 at 9:31 am #

Such a gorgeous dog, like a lot of people i think i loved the moments with her playing with the cat the most lol. So many changes seem to be happening in your life right now, good luck with everything, i loved hurley x

Jorge! That is a cool tribute to Nunu. This is the first time I comment. Been following you for some time on your “other” blog.

You should chekout the “upgrade” that WP offers:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/

Not sure if that will make it easier or not.

  127. Jazzygirl72 June 8, 2010 at 11:38 am #

I cried for days when I read that Nunu was gone, thank you for posting this! I love dogs, I’ve dedicated my life and my career to them. They are the best and sweetest inhabitants of this world. Whenever you posted photos or videos of Nunu on your blog it made my day, and I was literally thrilled to see her for that brief second on LOST. I’m really sorry you lost her in such a horrible and tragic way. I know you miss her so much, she was deeply loved.

My sympathies about your sweet little Nunu. I cried when I read about it – I’ve had many companion animals that were very much part of the family. Grief is an important thing to feel; it shows us how much we love. Til we meet our little ones on the rainbow bridge. http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm

I ‘m very old school. I never have a day off work.
When my cat died aged 20 years, I was bereft and took two days off. The trouble now is she is in, just about every family picture we have.

I am just getting back on line from a self-imposed hiatus…I didn’t want to be spoiled and I just didn’t want to hear what anybody else thought about the finale ( so from the last episode #16 to about a day ago)…I was so moved, and altered by the impact of what I saw…i didn’t need any questions answered…just the realization of what was happening was so powerful, everything else fell away…I don’t know how they did it but all that really mattered was love…that was all I felt, well sadness too but with a bit of sweetness. I’m sure it had alot to do with the fact that I was saying goodbye to the show and they tied it all together so perfectly…my feelings and the characters’…truely brilliant! I am so sorry about Nunu, the video is precious. I will look in on you from time to time…pls come back and visit. Aloha

What a great medley of Nunu. I hope the pain is easing a bit. Time does heal, but he’ll always have a special place in your heart.

I’m glad to see you’re continuing with your blog here. Many of us have come to know you so well that we consider you a good friend. I hope the feeling is mutual.

So, so cute. And it’s so great to have the video to remember her by, isn’t it?

My eldest cat is very, very ill right now. We’re going day-by-day, moment-by-moment. I’m so glad I took so many fun pictures of her over the years, so I’ll be able to bring back joyful memories.

Sorry wordpress is being difficult with the video. Overall, though, I find it much more reliable than blogger.

I’m so glad you’re continuing to keep us up to date on your adventures!

  166. Snarla June 9, 2010 at 9:30 am #

    Hi Jorge!
So happy to see you’re still blogging- especially since I only discovered dispatches from the island about a month ago. Yes, I’m ashamed.
Not sure if anyone covered this already (I just can’t sift through all the comments, my head will burst!) but I believe you can upgrade your wordpress account (for a price, of course)you can upload/store video and even edit the css. I have a friend who says these things used to be free, so I refuse to upgrade myself, but perhaps you’d like to. I already left a similar comment for Beth on her blog, but I think you guys should get commemorative Nunu tattoos πŸ™‚

  167. K June 9, 2010 at 9:53 am #

  169. Cortney June 9, 2010 at 10:08 am #

Awe…that video was very sweet. Thank you for sharing Jorge. I bet you guys miss her a ton. I too enjoyed her playing with the cat. Whenever a cat is bigger than a dog I find it fun to watch. This video made me smile, so thank you. Namaste & Aloha

  170. Maggie June 9, 2010 at 11:24 am #

God bless Nunu. I cried when I read the news. Be comforted by the fact that you and Beth were such awesome parents. She was a happy little dog and had a wonderful life because of you two.

  171. hayley l. June 9, 2010 at 12:00 pm #

How nice that you guys have this video (and the blog posts) to look back on. I especially like her antics with the cat.

Hey- so I know you’ve tried “Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day?” I tried the Red Wine and Cheese Bread from its sister book “Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day” and was hoping to report it was awesome. (I mean, bread, wine and cheese together? Yes please!) Sadly, it was not awesome. It was heavy and tasted like a sour cheddar goldfish cracker. What a bummer. I’ll try it again to be certain it’s not a dud– maybe I accidently had my oven set to convection and it just baked up too fast…

So glad to see you’re continuing to blog.

    Take care!

  172. Karyn June 9, 2010 at 1:52 pm #

Thank you for sharing this video of Nunu. My condolences on your loss.

I’m so sorry for your loss Jorge. (I know, you’re probably sick of hearing it, but I am.) As a fellow pet lover, I can’t imagine losing one of my canine friends in such a sudden manner.

Also, WordPress will allow you to post videos directly to your blog. That is, if you pay for the upgrade.

Meu beijo e carinho….

What an adorable and fiesty little cutie she was. I hope it is getting easier for you to remember her.
One of my Mom’s two Chihuahuas got hit by a car the same day as Nunu. Now Mom won’t let her other dog out of the house. (She was in the yard on the other side of the house when it happened.) She and her other dog are still in mourning. I wish you healing, happiness, and good luck in your next undertaking.

  184. Sim June 10, 2010 at 1:59 am #

What a lucky dog, she had a great life.

  185. Keara June 10, 2010 at 4:40 am #

I had a dog that died suddenly of cardiomyopathy 2 Christmases ago. I was devastated. Watching the videos I took of her Christmas day, opening her present and playing with it was really therapeutic to me, seeing her so alive, just a few hours before she became ill. (She only lived about 24 hours after that. 😦 ) I know the devastation of a a sudden pet loss and was so sad for you when Nunu was lost to you. It warms my heart to share in the joy of Nunu’s life through this video. Nunu was a blessing–and continues to be one.

  186. Joolz June 10, 2010 at 6:25 am #

Eventually your pain will fade and you will be left with only wonderful memories but your love for her will never die.

  187. Liane June 10, 2010 at 6:30 am #

    Jorge,
I’m so sorry about Nunu. She was a beautiful little pup. She was incredibly lucky to have such wonderful owners! I can relate to the devastating heartbreak it is to lose a pet. My heart goes out to you and Beth.

Can’t stop crying watching the video… can you believe? She was so so so sweet, I’m sure she keeps playing wherever she is… (she didn’t want to leave the island!)

I’ve grown accustomed to WordPress and its quirks. About the video, I think you have to have the paid account.

As a dog lover/owner myself, my heart really goes out to both of you on your loss of Nunu.

    Nunu! Those ears! ❀

My 3 1/2 year old daughter thought that was just about the best video ever. She thought Nunu should play with our puppy so they could be friends. I didn't have the heart to tell her!

Best wishes to you and Beth.

So sorry for your loss. If you know anyone interested in adopting little 4 year old chihuahua girls, there are 2 at S. LA Animal Shelter. Pics of them here:

So sorry once again for your loss.

OMGosh – how adorable. Her ears were so huge! lol.

I know you must be heartbroken right now, but try not to just focus on her last moments, but rather the wonderful years you had together. And know that she is happy in her new life (though I’m sure she misses you) and we’ll all be together again one day. I have many animals I look forward to being with when I pass on. It wouldn’t be Heaven without them!

Take care, Jorge and Beth. Hugs to you both.

that dog is crazy adorable, but your house is a mess. and did you film your dog peeing on your carpet. ewwwww!

  199. Antonia June 13, 2010 at 6:53 am #

Oh man shes just like my puppy! I just got a Shih Tzu and that dog is chewing on and peeing frickin on everything, and trying to eat my guinea pig and barking at my bird. Shes so evil! And my apt isnt carpeted and I only have like one small square rug, and she frickin pees and poops on it all the time! Of the places, it just has to be that one rug.
    RAWR.
    End of rant.

    Nunu’s paws are adorable btw.

Nunu shows the spirit of great muchness!! I am so very sorry for your loss, it takes time to heal that void in your heart. I thoroughly enjoyed the video, the music seemed to be absolute “Nunu” music. LOL I loved those love bites she gave you on your toes…treasure those moments. Best of luck to you, I am sending my Portland vibes your way. ~Mahalo

What a great video! I had to chuckle at the tussles with the cat; looked like quite the feline schemer, but she held her own pretty well! And man, her ears really were huge… Very sweet tribute that shows off her vivaciousness.

What a cute little dog she was….I love those ears! Sorry to hear about your loss. How sad 😦

Oh how beautiful she was. Although her time was spent short on this earth, it’s only a temporary separation until the day you’re reunited with her once again.
Til then, she’ll continue to exist on this plane in your heart. The two of you gave her a wonderful life. She was so very lucky to have you guys as her parents. She loved you very much.

I know first hand the irreparable loss you and Beth have suffered, and I also know there is very little anything I can say that will provide you any comfort at this time, except to say that in time the pain will get better. Please accept my deepest condolences.

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry…such a funny video yet so sad she is no longer with us.

Plus you are really good behind the camera! Ever though of heading in that direction career-wise?

I love how you edited that video!! Awww, she was so sweet. Jorge, my heart breaks for you & Beth about Nunu’s passing. I’m so glad she brought such joy into your lives. Thank you for posting this. It was very sweet and funny too. Especially when she peed and kept humping the blanket. That dog had personality for sure!!

Just wanted to say my heart aches for your loss. I cried when I read your post and have thought of it often.

This video shows how big a piece of your heart Nunu holds and always will. It’s hard knowing these furry creatures will only be with us for a short time. A time that will be filled with laughter and frustration but always love. Unconditional love. Treasures we will always remember.

First off – I’m so sorry about Nunu. I lost a beloved pet in March and I understand how much it hurts to lose a little piece of your heart.

I particularly loved the parts where she was playing with the cat! And when she was little her ears were longer than her legs! TOO CUTE! Thanks for sharing πŸ˜‰

Nunu stole all of our hearts and he is missed. You have been in my thoughts. Enjoy the wonderful memories, and thank you for sharing him with us.

Jorge and Bethany, after seeing this video, the old posts from the island and her super special participation on Lost, I have no doubt that she was totally happy with you. Her life was intense, complete and filled by so much fun, love, attention and care! She changed your lifes and vice-versa.
And I admire even more you both, not only as actors, but as very very special human beings.
    Big hug from Brazil!

This is a wonderful tribute and made me smile the entire time. I’m glad you had all that footage and were able to do that. You are a lucky man.

Now, you have to tell me the name of that piece of music! I can’t stop whistling it. I MUST OWN!
