I suddenly notice that I am wearing the same t-shirt I wore in Hurley’s Passport Photo. Take a look.
It’s faded a little.

Was that your shirt to begin with or is it a souvenier from the show? 🙂
Esa remera debe tener muchisimas historias, que emocionante.
That t-shirt must have a lot of stories.
Awesome! I hope (but somehow doubt) PIH is offering alumni discounts at the auction!
The “New Guy In Charge” clip hit YouTube and it’s epic Jorge. What an awesome way to wrap things up a bit. I miss the show 😦
Love the beard Jorge!
Kept the shirt and lost the shoes.
Fought the rats and sang the blues.
sweeet i was just checking out the action toooo!
I’m so glad you mentioned the Lost auction. I was looking at it the other day and noticed they have “Sawyer’s letter to the man who murdered his parents”. I swear I’ve heard Evangeline Lilly say in interviews that she took the original letter years ago and that it burned in her house fire. Am I crazy or do you know that story too? Did they make a replicate after she took it or were there always multiple copies? I’m guessing there were always multiple copies, but it did catch me off guard to see it up for auction after hearing the story about it originally.
Much to my great surprise, I just read the new Entertainment Weekly and they actually addressed this issue about the Sawyer letter! The article says there are many replacements. And Evangeline Lilly (jokingly?) said “Can I keep this one?” when she was reviewing them as part of the DVD bonus features.
now if you put it up for auction there will be a free for all on this blog too lol the chatter about the auction and the problems it’s having are amazing, people like me are just too poor for that.
Woohoo,
i share my birthday with Hugo 🙂
So How much for the shirt? Just kidding I dont really want it but maybe somone else does…
TOO FUNNY!!!!
That’s nice they let you keep the clothes. Are you growing your beard for a part?
Did we ever find out why your character was called Hurley when his name was Hugo Reyes? I think I missed that info.
That’s really funny!! Was that your shirt originally? I love your blog! I came across it a few months back when Lost ended and I read through the entire thing in a few days! I get excited every time I see there’s a new post!
It’s ok, I’m having a hard time letting go too!
Jorge- Please keep the beard! ❤
Haha, what a gnarly souvenir.
sweet
Oh those auction items looks SO great. This is SO not a good time to have a rotten economy!
: ) P
I was so waiting and excited for the LOST auction until the prices were shown. DANG!
Nothing under $100 for a starting bid canceled me right out. You know everything will go beyond a first bid too. (sigh)
Guess I’ll just cherish my memories, re-watch my DVDs to death and enjoy my Bender signed “Hatch” print.
Uber-fandom trumped by budget.
Sucks being a responsible grown-up.
Hey, how much for that shirt??? hahaha
Nah, forget it.
You’d need to charge ALLOT now that it’s “featured” plus the lingering DNA would really raise the price!
(I’m lovin’ the beard too!)
You always make me smile. Thanks. I checked out the auction too but I’m saving my money for a trip to Chile. Got any suggestions for great restaurants in Santiago or Valparaiso?
Hi, dummeh
http://www.thepropblog.com/2010/07/30/lost-the-auction-discrepancies-continue-to-mount/
Kinda worrisome
Ha, cool! So are you bidding on anything? A few things on there I’d love to have, but the starting bids are a bit out of my price range and I have a feeling most of the ending bids will be waaaay out of my price range…
So the T-shirt was actually yours, wasn’t it? That makes the passport more valuable.
Don’t mistake coincidence for fate.
hehehehehehehehhehehehehehehehe
I SSSSSooooo want something from the auction, but I think in the end, us poorer folks will just have to keep wishing, le sigh.
Cool that you still have that t-shirt, Jorge!
Beard looks great!
Thanks so much for having such a great text/pic blog!
Cool! very cool!
The Lost Epilogue is on you tube and at the Daily What!
So were you born in 1978 also, or just your character?
Thank you for your posts; they always make my day. Also, risking sounding like everyone else, thank you for an outstanding, emotional, enriching 6 years; I will NEVER forget Lost, and all of you who made me care about the story and your characters! I feel like I’ve lost family members, and I will deeply miss it.

It’s not a virus or anything it’s with Walt.
This makes me so happy!
Sorry to bother you with this, but we don’t know who else to contact. Many of us long fans are very upset the way the Lost Auction is being handled. I’ll try to give you a brief history of what has been going on:
When the catalog when on sale it was $55 which is a lot of money for many fans. I purchased it…it’s beautiful and a great memento of the series. Fans could also download a copy if they wanted to. Then we were told that tickets would be available on Aug. 5th. Turns out they were $42 each just to see the prop exhibit. But adding on S&H, taxes and “fees”, two tickets for my husband any myself would be $109. Then they wanted us to pre-register with credit card info and Driver License number. They would charge the card $500…if you didn’t get anything, they would reimburse you…whenever that would happen, who knows.
Then yesterday they changed their minds again. They said if you pre-registered you would get free admission all day to the exhibit along with your bidding paddle. And they said they would not charge your card the $500. It would just be a “good faith” gesture. If you didn’t get anything…nothing would happen on your statement. People seemed happy with that. Then some of us started to get emails late in the day on the 5th. The emails said a new policy is now “set in stone”: Every pre-registered bidder would have to buy the catalog and a ticket to the exhibit! Needless to say, many of us felt we were being taken advantage of!
In contacting Profiles in History this morning we were told that there will be another new policy “set in stone” and a press announcement would be made later today (the 6th). Nothing was released all day. I just got off the phone with Profiles in History and was told they don’t know when the announcement will be…maybe Monday. All decisions are being made by ABC. I expressed how disappointed us fans are. They did not seem to care saying that “it’s the nature of the beast” and “there are plenty of people who want these items.”
Furthermore, most items in the catalog have starting bids at $200 or above. This is not something most fans can afford. Nothing is really reasonably priced for most of us to get just a small piece of a show that has meant so much to us for 6 years. Plus the fact that, as of now, we are being asked to buy catalogs and tickets at ridiculous prices!
Thanks for letting me vent, Jorge. I bet you feel that this show will never leave you alone! LOL But if you can say a word on behalf of the fans to your ABC contacts to indicate how upset we are feeling about how this Auction is being handled, we would so appreciate it.
You may remember me as the Quilt Lady so you know I’m a true fan of yours and the show!
Thanks so much, Bonnie Green (aka Maven)
Call me crazy, but these look more like GNOMES than swords:

Haha.
The gnome is mightier than the sword 😀
Very cool! I just noticed my T-shirt was inside out . . . bummer.
Can I just say that talking about a LOST auction….makes me sad. I’m still not used to the fact that it’s OVER!
i think you should put the shirt up for auction too.
Oh sweet!!! I need to bid on some of those items… mostly Hurley items. That shirt should definitely go up there, now. I’d buy it off your back!!!
That’s so cool…you should get the passport 🙂
I just wanted to say I got really excited when I found out Hurley has the same birthday as my husband (he is just 3 years older).
Thanks for your wonderful blog! Keep it up!!
Good grief, I think people would bid on your UNDERWEAR! lol…
p.s. You’re much better looking now! I like you better w/ the hair out of your face. This, I’m chagrined to say, sounds like my mother coming out of my mouth!! 🙂
Hey! Hurley is exactly 4 years older than me! It’s so fun that I share a birthday with a fictional character from Lost. 🙂
You are too funny – love reading your posts and your humor.
Hey Jorge –
I think it’s awesome that you and beth do these blogs, the podcasts, etc…
You live the bill and ted credo – ‘be excellent to eachother’
Thanks!!!
John
Jorge, you were SO GOOD as Hurley. He was my favorite character on LOST.
Too cool that you have the shirt.
And yes, keep the beard~
Dude that is too funny!! I hate when I do that! I’ll post a picture on Facebook and then where it to some gathering. Then I won’t realize it later until I get on Facebook and be like, oh man! That’s the same shirt! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Hope you’re doing good Jorge!! Have a great weekend!
hey Jorge! I got the picture u sent to me in the mail! Thanks so much! its the best and most valuable thing ive ever had! plus u got it here a week b4 my bday!
Hey Jorge!
I think I am about your size, and I must have your season six outift so I can wear it around the house before I enshrine it!
The price of the auction was way out of my league. But, I love that people get the chance to purchase items. It is no doubt in my mind that some of the stuff the propmasters got at the yard sales and thrift shops in Oahu are just as cool- and maybe back in HI I’ll check those out again. Save my money for the ticket to go back to the islands! 🙂
Nice and I enjoy your post-LOST beard too.
Jorge,
Nice passport photo – you look ten years younger. By the way, where are the proceeds for the Lost Auction going? Any Michigan gear on sale?
You should get that, Jorge. Or did you already get the shirt that Hurley turned into the flag for the golf course?
Irish
Darn it, you just reminded me to check my passport because I’ve known for a while that it was going to expire. The stupid thing expired almost a year ago. The time distortions caused by ADHD sometimes seem even worse than those on Lost!
Hurley is a Capricorn! Cappy power!
I registered for both auctions (Aug. 21 and 22) but I suspect the bidding will go too high to be realistic.
I want that creepy crazy squirrel baybeeee!
That’s so cute! You look so much younger in the passport photo! Not saying you look older but you know what I mean!
Looks like Hugo is exactly one day younger than I am.
I miss lost…
continue it!!!!
Hurley’s a Capricorn?! Sweet! I’m on the 27th. High five!
