    Don’t we all.

Do you know someone who can edit CSS? If so, just get them to dig in and adjust the font size for you.

  4. Sara August 18, 2010 at 12:01 pm #

Get someone to edit your theme’s CSS file and make your font a bit bigger. It shouldn’t be a huge problem.

    Happy Wednesday!

  6. Tricia August 18, 2010 at 12:21 pm #

I bet a wordpress user will come along and help you out.

I had a dream about you this morning. I was in the middle of your trying to talk your way into Cal Tech with some neat trick using cups when my dog barked, waking me up and keeping me from knowing if you made it in. (I think it was you and not Hurley because I read your blog and didn’t really watch Lost.)

  7. erin August 18, 2010 at 12:24 pm #

You should be able to change the font by editing the CSS stylesheet. If you go into the dashboard, go to appearance, and find the edit CSS link for your particular theme, you can then copy and paste the original stylesheet into the editor and tweak the font. You’ll just want to find the area that talks about “body” and change the font size from whatever it is to something larger. I am making it sound far more complicated than it actually is, so don’t be afraid to try it out.

If you used Blogger, you could fix that…it’s that stinkin WordPress…yuck!

  9. Stephen August 18, 2010 at 12:40 pm #

  10. Özer August 18, 2010 at 12:45 pm #

But your words are lovely! 😉
btw, just saw the previous post. Ayayayyayay! poor things 😦

  11. Steve August 18, 2010 at 12:57 pm #

I’m not too familiar with WordPress, but if you have a template that’s something like CSS or Style Sheet, go in there and add this to the bottom of it:

    .post {
    font-size: 1.5em!important;

You can adjust 1.5 until you find a size that you like.

Feel free to email me if you need some styling help.

  12. llisa August 18, 2010 at 1:07 pm #

    Geeez… You guys and size…
I bet Beth is glad it isn’t

come on, you HAD to expect this response from us! hehehe

  13. underflow August 18, 2010 at 1:19 pm #

I know what you mean. Here are a couple suggestions:

    1. At the beginning of your post, before the first word, type with the brackets and all. Play around with the numbers to get the size you want.

    2. You can also use Typekit (typekit . com) to install different fonts to use on your blog. You get two for free, more than that and you have to pay. The only thing is that I think you still need to use the to make the font bigger.

  14. underflow August 18, 2010 at 1:33 pm #

so I see the font size thing didn’t show up here it is again:

    — the only space you want to keep when you type it in your blog is the one between “font” and “size”, remove the rest of the spaces.

  15. underflow August 18, 2010 at 1:34 pm #

I guess you aren’t supposed to know.

  16. Alia August 18, 2010 at 2:30 pm #

In your wordpress theme (“Neat”) there is a stylesheet, called style.css. You’ll notice, on line 5, there is a body rule called “font-size”. If you change it from what it’s at (62.5%) to somewhere around 75%, you should be good to go.

  17. jackie August 18, 2010 at 3:45 pm #

    me too

  18. Dani August 18, 2010 at 5:02 pm #

Actually, sometimes I wish my font were smaller. When I put footnotes, I choose the smallest font and it looks right until it is published. Sigh. The trouble with blogging.

  19. pamelalovescharlie August 18, 2010 at 5:27 pm #

    LOL…size doesn’t matter 😉

  22. GroovyMom August 18, 2010 at 8:37 pm #

Attempting to make this font size 7, using html code….

    Did it work?

  23. GroovyMom August 18, 2010 at 8:39 pm #

    OK – clearly not! Sorry!

Guess there is always the option of everybody making the text bigger on their computer, if it’s needed.

  24. Janelle August 18, 2010 at 9:19 pm #

    ….and by font you mean………………….

    • GroovyMom August 23, 2010 at 12:44 pm #

Hey there, haven’t been online for a few days. Font means the letters, and is usually used when referencing the size or style of the lettering. My husband is in the print industry, and we both do html / web design work. So the word “Font” is a common word around our house. I forget that not everybody knows that term!! Typeface would have been a better one. Sorry about that!!!
      :o) K

Big or small, most important is that you are still sticking around.
I would still read your blog if I needed a microscope for it!

Hey Jorge, are we gonna see you at the Emmys next weekend?

  37. DivaJean August 20, 2010 at 12:46 pm #

It’s not the size of the font that matters; its what you do with it.

  38. Selena August 20, 2010 at 12:49 pm #

I WISH I was little bit taller…I wish I was a baller…I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six four Impala. LOL, had to do it =)

  39. Donna August 20, 2010 at 4:59 pm #

  40. jessicaray August 20, 2010 at 9:41 pm #

I’m sure you’ve seen this before, but just in case you haven’t…
It is a map of the LOST island. It is really neat!!

I use wordpress for my blog also, there are TONS of themes you can choose from if you’re wanting a template. Or you can build your own & make it personalized. It isn’t hard. That way you can fix that font issue. 🙂

  41. Laura August 21, 2010 at 2:23 am #

Matthew Fox’s comments about you in Newsweek were really sweet. He adores you & thinks you deserve an Emmy (I agree). You did really fantastic work on that show, especially season 6.

  42. casinoskunk August 21, 2010 at 7:55 am #

You don’t have to have your blog look like this. Check out my blog, i customized the crap out of it.

  43. Irish Girl August 21, 2010 at 8:57 am #

Whoops, I’m sorry. Wrong link…try this one.

P.S. Thanks for turning me onto bread making! I’m making two loaves tonight!

  48. Eli August 21, 2010 at 3:19 pm #

I think, in a way, we all wish our fonts were bigger…

  49. Mighty Morfin August 21, 2010 at 3:37 pm #

Don’t matter what the font size is…as long as we can keep reading what you post!! Love ya Jorge!!

  50. derekbrink August 21, 2010 at 8:18 pm #

Ehh…it looks like a pretty standard size to me. I have once or twice wished I could make larger subject headings in WordPress…but even that ends up being one of those things only I would ever notice and the people reading don’t care about. As long as the posts are worth reading, who cares about the font-size?

  51. Janet August 22, 2010 at 5:35 am #

I don’t mean to embarass you, but… you are the cutest!

  52. Danielle August 22, 2010 at 7:36 am #

Hey Jorge– This has nothing to do with your font size but I just wanted to let you know I was planning on bidding on Hurley’s Star Wars Dharma notebooks today at the LOST Auction in Santa Monica BUT I hear through the grapevine you want those, and I think it only fair that you get them (plus I wouldn’t want to go up against you; something tells me you have more cash to burn on such a sentimental item!). If you ever decide to sell one of the lot that you will inevitably win, please contact me through my own website, and I would totally buy one off you 😀 Can’t wait to see what your next project is!!

By the way, I don’t know if you followed the auction from yesterday but your lottery ticket sold for $5500; your golf clubs $1400; and we were ALL envious of your set chair because it looked super comfy!

I sense a major announcement coming on – hence the requirement for a bigger font. Que pasa?

  54. moon August 22, 2010 at 6:47 pm #

    Must be cold in here.

  55. jackson August 22, 2010 at 7:02 pm #

The responses on this were a hoot.

  56. Eric August 22, 2010 at 11:05 pm #

You need your own domain. This is NOT spam. I am a real person, I have a baby boy and a wife. Check my site. You need to register for your own domain (e.g. furtherdispatches.com) and from there you can have a custom style sheet and your own blog email addresses. Etc. This will help not only with your font sizes (all jokes aside) but with your design, colors, layout, etc. I know quite a few people who would be willing to help you with this that are pretty badass coders.

My wife and I were in Kailua for season one of Lost and then in Denver, CO for the rest. Hope you guys are well.

I had the same complaint (also the one about having to load video to secondary sites) when I came to wp but I got over it. If you change your template, your default font will change too.

it can also be controlled with html code but that’s just way too much work.
