The Greatest Frosted “Sweet Wheat” Ever!

24 Aug

Wow! I mean look at all that icing.

Look at it compared to an average one.

The only problem is Beth found it so… she got to name it. (Not really she ate it.)

I tried to find another but I only found a halfy.

Wow, that was one “sweet” find. Too bad Beth ate it. Maybe you could have auctioned it off on ebay:)

I love those as well, I miss the original big ones though, I can’t find them anymore, just the bite size. Hey Jorge, got Season 6 last night bud. I was hoping for more bonus stuff but oh well, I’ll most likely get the box set later. I saw that tear during script read. I think I shed a billion of those during the finale, I still cry when I watch it. And ya know what, I think God himself gives the finale 2 Glorious thumbs up! Keep in touch bro. God Bless

You are just the coolest Jorge.
No matter the subject you bring up I find it interesting.
Thanks for the smile you put on my face so early in the day!!!

“keeps ’em full, keeps ’em going”

Woot for Beth – that’s a gold mine in shredded wheat. I like the blueberry flavor myself…

On a side note – I was in Wally World last night grabbing some groceries and I found an OLD School Capn’ Crunch box. Original flavor and Peanut Butter and they came with collector cards. Amazing how some of our beloved cereal mascots have changed over the years.

Nice Kindle in the background! I like to read while eating, too. 🙂

  7. Silvia August 25, 2010 at 6:02 am #

sorry… am i the only one who doesn’t know what is that? 🙂

  8. Jennifer Crowther August 25, 2010 at 6:42 am #

Was that in a regular box of Mini Wheats? That is one of my favorite cereals and quite a find.

  9. Emily August 25, 2010 at 7:46 am #

I always go through the shredded wheat and pick out the best frosted ones to eat! I would have loved that one!!

  10. Jean Schubert August 25, 2010 at 7:58 am #

    Sugar is good.

  11. Suizou August 25, 2010 at 8:21 am #

I wish they were all Sweet Wheats!

  12. Mandazoid August 25, 2010 at 8:29 am #

Looks like you’re reading a script. Anything exciting? :o)

  13. Staci August 25, 2010 at 9:02 am #

What are you reading on that Kindle? I loved my husband’s so much that I stole it. I bought him a new one to replace it, though.

  14. casinoskunk August 25, 2010 at 9:35 am #

Is that a script you’re reading on your Kindle?

  15. pamelalovescharlie August 25, 2010 at 9:35 am #

    YUM…you hit the icing mother-lode, that’s like finding a brown Cheez-it cracker…they taste extra good 🙂

  19. Janela August 25, 2010 at 11:17 am #

Completely off topic, but speaking of ‘sweet’ actually…I’m completely loving all the coverage of you in the special features of the season 6 DVD set.

  21. Kim August 25, 2010 at 1:47 pm #

I had some Target store brand shreaded wheat this morning. They’re not bad.

  22. jackson August 25, 2010 at 3:02 pm #

I love the maple flavored ones, but I never get that much frosting . . . We’re also gross sometimes late at night dipped in cans of store-bought frosting.

  23. casey August 25, 2010 at 3:55 pm #

I’m thinking of going kindle as well. The ipad is nice, but there is just to many distractions under the book. ANGRY BIRDS FTW

  24. Eli August 25, 2010 at 4:06 pm #

In true ‘Lostie’ fashion I found myself desperately trying to discern what was on the Kindle in the background, as if I’d get some sort of secret clue as to what will be on the next blog post. Don’t worry, I realized what I was doing and gave up immediately. *doit*

  25. Suzie Q. Wacvet August 25, 2010 at 4:41 pm #

With all the great food you cook, I’m surprised you eat that crap for breakfast! 😉

  26. Margie August 25, 2010 at 5:25 pm #

Jorge, have you tried the chocolate mini-spooners? Also, my hubby and I are going to watch the epilogue tonight!!!!! I got the complete collection this am from Wal-mart via fedex with free shipping! I love free shipping.

  27. Jules August 25, 2010 at 5:53 pm #

Whoa, whoa, whoa! That’s a Kindle in the background. Isn’t it addicting?!? I adore my Kindle and can’t get enough of it. Are you downloading the free books? Please start a thread on the Kindle…

Oh yeah. The cereal thingy is pretty cool.

    • Gracie September 1, 2010 at 9:49 am #

      I noticed the same thing. I ❤ my Kindle 🙂 🙂

  28. Vael Victus August 25, 2010 at 8:02 pm #

Dude the super-frosted one has a face. 😮 and it kind of looks like you. Tilt your head left, as if reading an emoticon, and maybe you will see it, or maybe I am just insane. The eyes are in the upper-left corner, no head tilted.

  29. Becca August 25, 2010 at 11:36 pm #

I snack on those right out of the box. I love the ones with extra frostiness, but I’ve never seen one quite like that!

  30. Becca August 25, 2010 at 11:40 pm #

I forgot to ask, is it a generic brand? I’m guessing yes because of the “sweet wheat” name! Mine are store brand, and I think they have less uniformity in the frosting. Which is good, because then you get the yummy caked-on ones!

  31. Becky Halliday August 26, 2010 at 4:10 am #

You can never have too much icing.

We received our Blu-Ray Limited Edition set last night, and it was like Christmas at our house. The packaging was amazing, and “The Man in Charge” was just awesome. My husband and I have a standing date for Tuesday nights to watch the series again. Can’t wait. Thanks for a thought-provoking, riveting, iconic show.

  32. Marc August 26, 2010 at 8:03 am #

Hmmm, that looks like a Trader Joe’s frosted mini wheat thingy!

  33. Jaynee August 26, 2010 at 8:23 am #

When you posted this I immediately when to my office cafeteria and bought a small container of mini-wheats and scored big time. Got two that looked very similar to the first picture you posted! What a great way to start the morning! *lol* I took a picture of them to send you, then realized you were probably going to get inundated with pictures of other people’s miniwheat successes and opted to keep the pic to myself. =)

  34. Bethany Shady August 26, 2010 at 10:38 am #

    it was delicious!

  35. Patty August 26, 2010 at 2:38 pm #

Okay, INTERVENTION!! You need to start reading scripts or something…DUDE–you’re taking pictures of CEREAL!! lol…

  36. Nadine August 27, 2010 at 12:32 am #

    Love it, lol.
Never commented on your blog before (this one or dispatches) but you remind me of one of my good friends in some of the stuff you post. I love that you are “normal”…

    • Jaynee August 28, 2010 at 5:16 am #

It cracks me up that you put “normal” in quotes. *lol*

  37. Elizabeth August 27, 2010 at 10:21 am #

Unrelated comment here: Oh well, it happens. I broke open my Season 6 DVD last night and watched the special features. And then, I cried, which was pathetic – I know. But I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed it all. Y’all really did a fantastic job. I’ll miss you! (But I’ll follow you here – so that makes it better.)

  38. jackson August 27, 2010 at 7:41 pm #

Ok, I already commented on this, but I showed my family this most awesome frosted pillow of fiber and they were all beside themselves with amazement. Just sayin’.

  39. Petra August 27, 2010 at 9:40 pm #

    Love the new layout!

I watched the extras (yes, went right to disk 5) last night. I cried so hard. It reminded me how much I miss LOST, all my LOST peeps (virtual and literal, as well as the cast) and the community. Jorge, Beth, I am SO thankful that you are keeping the dispatches coming. It really helps with the withdrawal.

    : ) P

  40. Erin August 28, 2010 at 7:31 pm #

Haha! She should have named it, *then* eaten it! But maybe that would’ve seemed too morbid…

  41. Stacy Disarrayed August 29, 2010 at 7:15 pm #

So watcha readin’ on your Kindle there Jorge?

  42. heather August 30, 2010 at 1:16 pm #

isn’t that the awesomest?? it’s like getting a double yolked egg…a little gift from the universe that makes you look around madly for someone you can show it to.

i also like getting the odd dorito, cheeto, sun chip, or snyder’s of hanover mustard onion pretzel nugget that is OVERLOADED with salty delicious flavor powder…it’s like finding the queen bee in the hive.

  43. Ann MacKay August 31, 2010 at 3:48 am #

I love that “sweet wheat” cereal because of the sweet and less for the wheat. I get acid reflux every time I eat them but just like I know Skittles is going to give me a migraine, I’ll eat them anyhow. The taste is worth the pain. 🙂

  44. Danny September 2, 2010 at 5:33 pm #

What are you reading on your kindle?

  45. beema September 4, 2010 at 7:52 am #

dude, that is a great find! I always look for the most frosted ones and put them in the bowl. hehe. Never found one that covered though!

  46. Diane September 4, 2010 at 5:06 pm #

talking of cereals… you know those cereals that are round and resemble a donut, and are of different colours??? well great I chose the wrong package.. instead of violet, red, orange, green, yellow etc, ..i got a package where all were plain grey… -.- to eat or not to eat?

  47. Linda W. September 25, 2010 at 11:03 am #

I think I found its twin in my cereal this morning. Pure sugary goodness!

  48. Jake September 29, 2010 at 2:11 am #

Sadly all frosted sweet wheats are not made equal.
