A Visit with the Little One

1 Mar

So of course we stopped to visit Noon.

And I was impressed with how well the presents had held up.

Here they are when we left them in September.

And here’s how we found them.

Kinda faded and rained on, but staking the toys into place really did the trick.

We fluffed them up a bit and added another one and some treats and flowers.

Aw. She was the best.

Good old Nunu. It’s unfortunate time cut her time here short. She’ll be missed.

They become a part of you and you never forget them.
It is not easy but getting new pets to love helps.
All of us animal lovers feel your pain and are patting you on the back.

RIP NuNu – Our pets really do hold a special place in our hearts.

“My body is gone but I’m always near.
I’m everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I’ll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.”

Still so sorry for your loss! Nunu can never be replaced but hopefullt Pip and Smidge are helping to mend that hole in your heart. Sending love your way.

Nunu was probably saying “…now move that one a little to the right..no the other way, and put the flowers there..” I’m so sorry she was taken too soon. Thank you for showing her big smile in the last photo. I’m off to read “The Rainbow Bridge” for the umpteenth time. Here’s to you, Nunu!

I share your sorrow at the loss of Nunu. You will always have your memories, your pictures, and that one episode of LOST where she posed as “Hugo’s” dog.

I’m really glad the toys held up so well. That’s a beautiful site where she is. I love how caring you are. You and Beth are pretty cool people.

    This is very bittersweet.

  27. LSE March 2, 2011 at 3:26 pm #

This entry made me tear up. I remember how heartbroken I was the day I read that she had moved on. Through all your stories and pictures of her, you started to feel like you knew that little dog- so you really felt the loss. A wonderful girl. Those toys are so sweet. Rest in peace, little Nunu!

  28. Tiffany noélli March 2, 2011 at 4:24 pm #

Dear Jorge … This little friend, you will never forget. I was happy to learn that the toys were still there. My Hanna, returned after one month in hospital. She survived cancer surgery. It was very sad! But today she’s happy again. Animals also have the destiny. May god bless you!😉

  29. coffeegod March 2, 2011 at 4:58 pm #

Excellent picture. She was a choice dog.

  30. pamelalovescharlie March 2, 2011 at 7:45 pm #

Aww…Nunu…she is missed and I still think of her often!!! In that last pic, she looks like a gremlin, like the Gizmo guys after they ate after midnight and went crazy😉

  31. Kathy March 3, 2011 at 12:51 pm #

She was taken way too soon but she forever remains in your heart and ours, Jorge. Thank you for all the times you shared her with us and continue to share her.
Hugs to you and Beth both….((H))

Me encanta la forma que tienes de relacionarte con los animales…con tus chihuahuas…It´s tender and funny 🙂

  37. Tammie March 5, 2011 at 1:59 pm #

The hardest part of my parents moving out of the house I grew up in was not losing my childhood home. It was leaving my dog, Duffy, (a Chihuahua-Boston Terrier mix) that I had from age 5 to 21 who was buried in the backyard.

  38. Jeff March 10, 2011 at 12:45 pm #

Last night I had a dream that I was spending time with a dog I had put to sleep just over 3 years ago. It seemed so real, and I really hadn’t dreamed about him since I had him put down because he was old and his kidneys went out. I really like to think that what happened last night was more than a dream.

  39. James Hernandez March 26, 2011 at 9:59 am #

    Jorge,

I promise that if I ever get to Hawaii I will leave a toy at Nunu’s grave site.
