So Smidge had her stomach UN-stapled yesterday.
The surgery went well but she still has to stay at the vet until Monday to make sure the plumbing still works properly.
Poor little girl. Thanks for telling us, I was thinking about all of you last night!!
Put her on a strict no-staples diet.🙂
Now, mom and dad~~~~breathe. Love you guys.
Poor Smidge😥 I’m happy the surgery went well. Thanks for the heads up😀
So glad Smidge is now staple free! Sending healing to the little one, courage to Pip for being without her sister, and peace to their parents! I know how hard it is to have your beloved pets away from you, and the worry you go through. Pip and Smidge have the love of all that have come in contact with you both, and that’s a big load of love for two little doggies! 🙂
Speedy recovery Smidge!
Thanks for the update, Jorge. I’m so happy the surgery went well! I hope Smidge is back on all four feet soon:)
Make sure you puppy-proof the house, I have three dogs and for the longest time I had to make sure the house was completely free of swallowable hazards in reach of the critters, and I had to crate them when I couldn’t watch them like a hawk. It takes a lot out of you, but it’s better than surgery, and eventually they stop eating every single thing they see. I hope.
Hooray! Speedy recovery, Little One!
aww poor little thing!
i hope she gets back on her paws very soon
Glad baby girl is getting better!
Whew! Hooray! Be well Smidge!
Also, gotta give propz to your mad photoshop skillz, yo.
I wonder why staples are so yummy in first place…you know, my cousin ate a staple in the first grade….
thank goodness, so happy to hear it. I know how worried I get when one of ours is sick
Good news! So glad to hear she is on the mend…that little girl will be so happy when you guys pick her up tomorrow🙂
What a scare! Thank God she’s OK!!!!
still think you should have named her RADAR. Glad shes’ doing so well.
Darn dogs, you love them no matter what but you still wish they would use a little common sense when they eat!
Get well soon poor wee smidgeywidgeen
Glad the surgery went well…Wishing Smidge a speedy recovery.
Poor puppy. I had a friend in high school once who swallowed a mouth full of straight pins. She was using them to pin up a skirt and one minute they were between her lips and the next they weren’t. One little staple doesn’t come close to that. There is a TV show on National Geographic called “My dog ate what”? It’s about dogs who eat astonishing things. Might make Smidge feel better (or give her ideas).
Awww, hugs to little Smidge…and to “Mom and Dad” too! Glad her surgery went well! xx
You know I *just* spent the evening at a friend’s hose dealing with a sick dog
I’m glad you were able to take care of your puppy!
Poor pup. Glad it’s turning out okay!
Poor baby! Poor Mom and Dad!!!!
So glad the surgery is over and she will be home later today.
poor!!!!I hope she gets well soon, que se mejore pronto!!! animos!!!
all do well because you have a good friend good doctor Jack Shephard jaja
recovery expected soon
Is she back home yet? How is the recovery going? Cheli (my pooch) and I are sending good vibes and a hugging “Get Well Soon”.
I glad the surgery went well… Puppies eat everything that looks ahead. Thankfully it was only a scare…

My older son put everything in his mouth when he was a baby. I was constantly fishing things out of his mouth. I think he finally quit doing that when he was 15. I hope Smidge mends quickly so she can come home, and get lots of love. You may have to resort to desginating a puppy room or putting her in a pen of some kind when she is home without people to keep her safe and staple free.
P.S. (I hope Nunu’s resting place is on high ground.)
Poor little sweetheart! I’m glad she’s okay now.
