Looks like you have the same problem I have, though mine are cats. 🙂 But we love them, right?

  2. Janelle May 31, 2011 at 8:35 pm #

I can see why that might be the case.

At least you got the their front ends by your face, instead of the other way around.

  3. Lurkertype May 31, 2011 at 8:41 pm #

Odd growths on your face, Jorge!

I can’t move right now because of a cat.

  4. Slave Driver May 31, 2011 at 8:55 pm #

I have the same infestation at my house. Except one of mine is 10 pounds and the other one is 100.

  5. Debbie M. May 31, 2011 at 8:57 pm #

They love you, Jorge:) Our cat is the same way if one of us is lying down on the couch. When we’re sitting watching TV she’ll sit in between us.

Dude, you don’t know animal interruption until you have been interrupted by a guinea pig and a bearded dragon. I thought the dragon was sunning himself on the steps and the guinea pig kept chewing on my jeans. My dog was licking him, like a puppy and he wanted to get away. I put the little guy in my lap and kept typing. So my dragon, who thought he was a little dog decided to crawl from the steps to my shoulder. Amazingly neither the birds or the cat chose to join the party.

We have cats here…They hang out on top of me just like that. They sleep on me when I am sleeping — They check my mouth to see what I have eaten recently… They fight each other for the most comfortable spot!! Sometimes they will try to wash my feet — One of them is a total monkey (just like Nunu was) constantly sitting upon my shoulders… It’s so great to be the parent of pets !!!

  11. vospik May 31, 2011 at 9:57 pm #

Yeah, its a love tragedy. Mine gets on my lap. Then sits on my arms as I type on my desktop. When that doesn’t suffice, he puts his ass on my keyboard. Get ready, they are just getting started

  12. Irish Girl May 31, 2011 at 10:22 pm #

Uh-huh. Sometimes when I’m on the chaise with the laptop, Billy jumps up next to me and just stares for a few minutes. Then, when he’s decided he’s given me enough time to notice and focus on him, he puts his paw smack down on the keyboard. Paw is forthwith followed by his head, lying on said keyboard, tilted upwards, coy brown eyes blinking innocently. Try writing the Great American Novel like that, folks. It’ll take years for you to finish, too…

    • Charli June 1, 2011 at 3:14 pm #

Well yeah. If you’d figure it out and move out of his way he could get back to work

  13. MARTA May 31, 2011 at 10:49 pm #

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they are so cute!!! que bonitos, my dog always gives the caps lock key.😀

  14. DANIEL ELCHE May 31, 2011 at 10:51 pm #

    una forma estupenda de descansar

  15. love the pics– and the guinea pig tale in the later comments, too. We have four cats, and Monty the chihuahua, six chinchillas, and seven rats… (not the broom killer type)..our girl kitty- Ella Fitzgerald- should have been named Kramer- she jumps up and slides over onto EVERYONE who is in the middle of stuff. Hubby is on the piano- Kramer-Ella jams on through the strings inside it. I’m on the computer.. she slides over onto the microphone I type with and the words turn into kitty porn. Wild stuff. Animals are so my favorite people.

    • tapadance June 1, 2011 at 4:09 pm #

Not sure if this will work My cat Purrball and my guinea pig Fidget I would keep his cage open and he could get out and walk down to the floor. The cat loved to go in his cage and eat his kibble.

      • kake79 June 1, 2011 at 5:08 pm #

        Ha! Awesome pic.

  16. Claudia June 1, 2011 at 1:45 am #

Ya gotta love them! Hazel, my cat, lays on my computer keyboard. Not too easy to type around a 16 pound cat!!!
They are truly adorable Jorge. Love the pic of the both of them licking your face.🙂

  17. David June 1, 2011 at 3:41 am #

I have the same problem, except mine is a six year old daughter that alway wants to sit on me while I’m typing. Luckily, neither of our dogs is interested in such things.

  18. LSE June 1, 2011 at 3:44 am #

Don’t you just love little animal helpers!

  19. Jessica June 1, 2011 at 6:14 am #

    Thats very sweet!

  20. Jessie June 1, 2011 at 6:16 am #

Very sweet! I have that problem with my daughters ~ they are almost 4 and starting to get the hang of how to play with Mommy’s “Puter”. They always want to play on the PBS kids site.

  21. pamelalovescharlie June 1, 2011 at 7:01 am #

LOL…that’s cuz they love you🙂 Charlie does that every time I open my netbook…he jumps up and puts himself between me and the computer. I’ve had to backspace many times because if I try to ignore him, he lays his head right on the keyboard. Good thing I love him so much because it’s really annoying sometimes😀

  22. yellowdog granny June 1, 2011 at 9:14 am #

    you da bed.

  23. Jeff June 1, 2011 at 9:15 am #

Perhaps Pip and Smidge are simply begging for their OWN laptops.

  24. Teri June 1, 2011 at 9:54 am #

You love it and you know it!

  25. Giulia June 1, 2011 at 10:03 am #

Same here🙂 and my kitten loves trying to catch the mouse arrow in the meantime!😀

  26. Shaw June 1, 2011 at 10:12 am #

Are they eating their own crap?!?

  27. Donna Siano June 1, 2011 at 10:28 am #

When you have cats, dogs or even kids sitting on the couch is the one place they know that they can be close to you. Forget about taking a nap.

I just saw the cute little kitty video you had on your blog. It was on “The View” Thanks for sharing

  28. Katherine June 1, 2011 at 11:10 am #

We have a wolf hybrid who weighs 90 pounds and thinks of us as his own personal chairs…

  29. kathy June 1, 2011 at 12:43 pm #

  30. Ali M. June 1, 2011 at 1:44 pm #

I can’t even got on my desktop computer becasue of my cat, lol. ah, the love of animals and they’re desire to be the one and only, hehehe

  31. Jules June 1, 2011 at 5:15 pm #

I think Pip and Smidge are plotting your demise by laying out the foundation while getting an idea of how to carry out their plan.

Thank goodness our two pups don’t like being lap dogs. At 35 and 50 lbs I don’t think there would be much room for a laptop.

  32. kake79 June 1, 2011 at 5:16 pm #

I guess my dog is trained pretty well. When I’m in my recliner on my laptop, we just smushes himself between me and the arm of my chair. Ok, ok, I admit he has me trained, too. Sometimes the laptop goes on the arm of the chair and he gets my lap.

  33. BEVERLY June 1, 2011 at 6:04 pm #

I think you have room for another one!!!

  34. leendadll June 1, 2011 at 6:08 pm #

depends upon your definition of productivity. you seemed to be very productive at getting puppy lovin!

  35. Robyn Ciaburri June 1, 2011 at 7:11 pm #

  36. WyzWmn June 1, 2011 at 9:47 pm #

I’m finally going to succumb to a doggy sling…sort of a la baby sling only for a dog
I haven’t had 2 hands free since this chi decided she owns me
    *sigh*
    it’s a tuff life eh?

  37. 4n6princess June 1, 2011 at 11:43 pm #

The Puppertons have gotten so big! Looks about like my afternoons with my chihuahuas. They want nothing to do with me until I’m trying to do something and then there’s lap sitting and kissing and sniffing and moving and nudging. I get the urge to wake them up in the middle of the night to do the same thing to them. 🙂

  38. gena June 1, 2011 at 11:44 pm #

Our yorkie/jack russell does this same thing to my son (who looks soooo much like you, it’s creepy!). I think it’s the beard – she likes to scratch on it – lol !!!!!

thanks for letting peak into your life,

    gena

  39. Geri June 2, 2011 at 2:58 am #

Yup yup…Totally get this. Only my problem is cats ~ one is trying to lay on my hands, one is dancing across the keyboard while another is try to eat my hair ~sigh~

  47. Mighty Morfin June 5, 2011 at 5:47 pm #

That is so funny!!! I love it!! Maybe you should try one of those trays on your lap and see if that works! If not, get the puppies a laptop!! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  48. James Hernandez June 6, 2011 at 1:45 pm #

    Jorge,

Just as long as they are potty trained (i.e. any other place than on my laptop).

  49. Tammie June 24, 2011 at 9:02 pm #

I think they want to BE your laptop!
