Fun!! Just sit by the fire and drink hot chocolate. I live in Lake Elizabeth, Cal. It snows at our house so when it does we start a fire in our Pellet stove and watch the snow come down. Stay warm!!!

I’ve been a big fan of you from LOST but have never been to Hawaii. I live in Rhode Island and wondered if you now live in New England or thereabouts where you saw your first frost on the ground!

Enjoy the snow in that beautiful yard 🙂 Will we have pix of snowmen and other assorted creatures to look forward to? We’ve already had some frosty nights here in Ohio…and all the long term weather reports say more snow and colder than usual temps this winter. Our eskimo dog, Momo is going to love it…Charlie (chihuahua) not so much ;D LOL…you’ll have to shovel a path for Pip and Smidge.

Such a wonderfully manicured yard you have. Mine always looked wild, overgrown and gnarly….which it was. Alas, in here in Brooklyn I have no yard. Well, unless you count the BBG as one.
You shouln’t get too much snow in Vancouver. You will be lucky if you can make a footprint, let alone a snowman 🙂 Enjoy the frosty weather, and know that most other Canadians are jealous of the weather in VanCity!

Uhhh, I’m not sure Vancouver qualifies as the “great white north”. One of the very few places in Canada that stays green all winter; you might get some snow but I bet you’ll get way more rain than snow…
Oh honey, Vancouver is not the great white north… it is the banana belt of Canada. Come to northern Manisnowba and we’ll show you some great white winter.
Vancouver is much like Seattle. More rain than snow I believe. But you should see one or two snowstorms perhaps. Which is just as well because let’s face it, shoveling is the pits. :p
It will stay quite green there, generally! If you want Great White, definitely come to Edmonton (14 hour drive North-East for those who are unfamiliar)!!!!!!! It gets so cold here that things creak (like a car or anything metal)!!!
Have fun! Vancouver snow is quite wet, so it will be good snowman weather if you get it!!!
…and, ironically, I go there to my coastal home on Galiano Island for Christmas to get away from winter (tee hee…I’m serious)!!!! When I get home to Edmonton after, I always scream…we have to go baaaaaaaaack, we have to go baaaaaaaack ( I miss LOST)!!!!!

I also live in a great white north on the other side of the country–Buffalo. You haven’t seen winter till you’ve seen a Buffalo winter. Last year was murderous–we had over 250″ of snow. Yuck. I ‘d like to try Hawaii out for size sometime. Count your blessings on having had so many years there.

Jorge, you’re in Vancouver. That doesn’t even count! You want to experience the Great White North, you’re going to have to come inland a bit.
If you are close to the coast it won;t be too bad. You’ll love it. it’s beautiful. Just be careful driving and get little coats for the pups
