Happy New Year!

1 Jan

It was fun watching Rockin’ Eve waiting for the Alcatraz Billboard to pop up. This was a great shot that Steven Lillien caught.

And I’m happy to report the tradition is going strong. We made two types of Sloppy Joe’s. The Dog’s were pretty excited.

Served them up with some tater tots and my special ketchup/sriracha/Tampico blend. I felt the need to add a little green to mine.

And then we rang in the New Year with the three CH’s. CHurros, CHocolate & CHampagne.

I feel like you’ll appreciate one more CH: In Mandarin, the word 吃 or chi** means EAT!

**pronounced a bit like “chicken” without the “cken”

The Hunt’s, Heinz and Coca-Cola corporations should each pay you a product placement fee.

We’re so excited about Alcatraz starting soon! Since we live in the Bay Area, I think I’ going to have to suck it up and take them on the tour sometime, too — I’ve run out of stories about the place, which really is such an oddity in our history, especially when you put in the whole 1970s Native American part of the story. Anyway, Happy New Year to you humans and you forgot to add in one more CH to your tradition, kissing the CHijuajuas! 😉

(I really would love a DAMN entertaining Monday on FOX with your show and Terra Nova, which is one of the true family shows on anymore. Fingers crossed for their renewal!)

i love reading these comments because everyone is like, ohh, you are soo cool, i love your shirt, you are fabulous. it’s just funny. like you are not a person or something. The pics of this post totally cracked me up because you looked so CREEPY! No smiling, just a look like, “I’m going to eat these sloppy joes, bitch.”

  25. Rhonda January 2, 2012 at 10:19 am #

Is that a Mexican Coke back there? I like to get those. They taste like what Coke USED to taste like. 🙂 Happy New Year to the World’s cutest couple!

  36. James Hernandez January 6, 2012 at 1:26 pm #

Coca Cola should pay you residuals for the product placement in one of the photos. In Canada you should try Cott Cola – a Canadian brand.

  37. Mimi January 16, 2012 at 10:08 pm #

Did you mean “Tapatio”? That must be some fiery sauce with the sriracha!! Happy New Year to you and your fam!

  38. randi January 25, 2012 at 10:01 pm #
